Adam Klink - USA CrossFit and Progenex Athlete

Posted on September 08 2015

We all enjoy a little insight into what a professional athlete eats. Enjoy this insight from Adam Klink.

Nutrition has always been a huge part of my athletic career. I also believe that you need to eat based on what you are training for. Not every diet or style of eating works best for everyone.

I have found that, while training to compete at a high level, I cannot perform at my best eating strict paleo.  I found it hard to get enough calories in a day. Yes, I got ripped up and lean, but it was hard for me to pack on muscle and build strength. I also found myself exhausted by the end of the day.

I changed the way I ate after my first few months of CrossFit from paleo to “clean”. I am not on a special diet, I do not weigh my food or count calories. I simply am conscious of what I eat. I stick to lean meats, veggies, some fruit, nuts, but I am not afraid to throw in a pizza or a burrito once or twice a week to get the calories I need.

With my hectic schedule of training and coaching all day every day, it is often hard to find enough nutrients, and more importantly the right nutrients to get me through my day. Progenex is a product I can rely on to fuel me when I don’t have time to get a meal in right away. Progenex Force wakes me up and gets me focused for my workout, while taking Progenex Recovery, Progenex More Muscle, and Progenex Build help me recover and build muscle. I honestly wouldn’t be able to perform at my best without the help of Progenex.
